Jay-Z Responds to Shocking Allegations, Denies Claims of Statutory Rape

American rapper and business mogul Sean Carter, better known as Jay-Z, has publicly addressed allegations made in a civil lawsuit accusing him of statutory rape involving a 13-year-old girl in 2000. The lawsuit, filed by attorney Tony Buzbee, also implicated music mogul Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, who is currently under investigation for separate criminal charges.

In a strongly worded statement shared on his social media platforms on Sunday, Jay-Z vehemently denied the allegations, labeling them as “false” and an attempt at “blackmail.” He also challenged Buzbee to pursue criminal charges instead of a civil lawsuit if the claims were credible.

Jay-Z’s statement read in part:

“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was that the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a very public fashion. So no, I will not give you one red penny!”

The rapper further emphasized the severity of the claims, adding:

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

Diddy, a close associate of Jay-Z, was arrested in September by Homeland Security on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. While the two cases are not directly linked, the accusations have placed both men under intense public scrutiny.

Jay-Z’s response highlights his determination to fight the allegations head-on and expose what he describes as fraudulent claims.
